Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"I was in the mood for pizza, found this place close to my hotel. Ordered pizza Napoli and an Aperol Spritz, which was really good and served really fast. Now I would just love for the waiters to check on their guests a little more often to ask if the food was good or if I would have needed anything else. It’s usually part of the Italian culture, not sure who owns this place though. Something to consider. It’s not just about the food."
"We really enjoyed the food. We ordered pizza, spaghetti, salad, and lasagna. They were all delicious. The order arrived quickly. The atmosphere was nice. I would recommend it."
"It was extremely busy and therefore service was a bit slow / lacking. But the food was really tasty and they had good gluten free option for coeliacs. Strongly recommend the lasagne and truffle risotto. Cheese board + cheese salad starter were ok."
"Magnificent meal here at Al Garage! I had the meatball and garlic toast appetizer. The meatballs were very tender and the tomato sauce was thick and rich. Casarecce San Marco was full of savory mushroom flavor and crispy pancetta bits, and topped with a dollop of burrata that melted slowly into the hot pasta. Dessert was a pistachio cream-topped cheesecake on a crunchy Biscoff/caramel crust. The cheesecake texture was silky, almost like a thick mousse. This feast was unapologetically paired with a couple Birra Ichnusas and a shot of amaro. What a treat! Service was prompt and courteous, and the atmosphere was charming."
"Great Food. Great Atmosphere and amazing service. We didn’t have reservations still they accommodated us on a busy Friday night. We ordered two pasta dishes and Salmon. All were really good. Cheesecake is a must. We liked it so much that we went again the next night. A gem in Lisbon."
"A beautiful and bright italian restaurant with a warm and friendly staff. I ordered the first cannellone, the chocolate tortino dessert, a café crème, and regular filtered water. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was quick, the prices affordable, and the restrooms were clean and smelled fresh. Highly recommend this restaurant!"
"If you’re craving solid, Italian taste - that’s your place to go. I really liked my pasta alla forma - good portion and delicious. Only thing is that I expected to get the full experience with the big cheese pot in front of me, I just got ready to eat plate. But the winner was Lotus biscuits cheesecake with pistachio topping. The best cheesecake I’ve ever had and trust me - I had many of them It was so good, that the night before I was leaving, I had to get back and take one more slice Soo good!"
"The Pistachio cheesecake was incredible. We went twice just for the cheesecake. The stuffed rice balls were excellent and the pizza was good. The 2 pasta dishes were not our favorite. The flavors tasted off and the pasta wasn't cooked enough for what we are used to, but everytjing else was great."
